The Picard 22oz Framing Hammer is an extremely high quality German forged hammer that features a magnetic nail start, solid one-piece steel construction, and a durable leather grip. The leather grip is lightly waxed and not laccured or varnished as seen in other leather grip hammers. This ensures that the leather will do what it is intened to do, which is absorb sweat, oils, and other liquid. The leather will actual form to the users hand over time giving an almost customized grip. The leather can also be tightened by an adustment screw found on the bottom of the steel end cap. If the leather shrinks due to dry weather conditions, simply turn the screw and this will tighten the entire grip.
